Inmates looking to get married while incarcerated are required to go through multiple steps in order to obtain the marriage license AND be approved for a jail wedding. Some facilities require clergy to be on the DOC list of approved clergy however some do not require this (for example, Ada County Jail does not). It is the responsibility of the couple to obtain all proper notarized paperwork, the license and approvals before your service is confirmed.
If you're picturing yourself getting married in a tropical oasis or other destination, we would be happy to work with you on the logistics of making this happen. Please be sure to read the 'Things to Know' section on 'Travel Outside of the Treasure Valley'.
